I came by my morbid imagination honestly. I was born in Missouri in an old farmhouse built over an abandoned cemetery. When I was young, quality family time was spent sitting in the dark with my siblings and listening to scary radio programs such as Inner Sanctum and The Shadow. Telling ghost stories was favorite pastime in our brood of eight. There was a ninth sibling named "I Don't Know" who... faded away with time. My mother would ask, "Who did this?" Of course, the answer from all directions was, "I Don't Know." My loves during childhood were penning poetry, short stories and reading. These activities allowed escape from the pandemonium of an overcrowded and often boisterous household. I laid aside writing to pursue a career with Southwestern Bell. After thirty-two years, I had had enough of the business world. I retired and returned to my first love, writing.
